Hi, I’m Katrina. My friends call me Pallon though. I paint, illustrate, take photos, make masks, and do graphic and book design.
This is mainly my art blog where I’ll be posting about finished paintings/ illustrations, sketches, works in progress, photos, and everything else that catches my fancy.
I love to travel as much as I love coffee. And here’s a few more of my favorite things: music (goth, classical, world music, Broadway, new wave, grunge, industrial/ electronica, and a bit of metal), Venetian masks and the Carnivale di Venezia, Cirque du Soleil, Todd McFarlane’s Hellraiser/ Tortured Souls figures, Batman, pirates, books (particularly coffee table books on art, photography and interior design, and intricately illustrated children’s books), movies, cats and rabbits, dragonflies, peacocks, anything that exudes old world charm (baroque and gothic cathedrals, antiques, museums, and the list goes on), food (Indian, Thai, Mediterranean), literature (poetry, flash fiction, magic realism), Masala tea, Asian tapestries.
I work most of the time in my studio with 8 delightful cats. On some days, I do Jeet Kune Do and boxing. On some nights, you can either find me singing for goth band Scarlet Tears or playing bass for grunge band Narcotic Venus.
